The mod that these pods came from is the Borg Incursion Mods By Major Payne. Thinking that this problem was being caused by the Borg Reseach Stations being preset to have additional research, I commented out the additional research that there are not any pod listed for, that didn't fix the problem.Īlso, I have fully added the additional Research Pods that I am going to use to span the generations to make it possible to lead off into the next eras. I have been thinking about creating for the Federation, the Klingons, the Romulans, the Borg, and the Cardassians a way to "Span The Generations", what this means is that I want to "Span the Generations of all the Star Trek Eras from Enterprise NX-01 to the Distant Future after TNG/Nemesis". Its about time that the Star Trek license is being used to make GOOD games for a change, with Klingon Academy and Elite Force.This may not be considered a crash by others, but I consider it a crash because if the game isn't working, the game is thus in a way crashing since it isn't working as it is supposed to. I'm running an AMD K62 550, 192MB RAM, and a Voodoo 5500 AGP with 64MB RAM on the card, and the game runs like a dream. I recommend a higher end system to get optimal performance with this game. While the intro movie and cut sequences are pre-rendered, all gameplay, even the beginning of the "episodes" are rendered using the game engine.
Graphically this game is impressive as well. For example, all Klingon and Romulan ships can cloak, to Borg can assimilate an enemy ship to take it over, etc. However there are some racial adavantages that may make one race more interesting to play than another. The gameplay is quite balanced between the four races, none more powerful than the other.
This game is top quality when it comes to its easy to use interface, highly detailed textures, and wonderful voice acting by Patrick Stewart, Michael Dorn, Denise Crosby, and other regulars like J.G. The gameplay is similar to most other real time strategy games out there like Command and Conquer or Warcraft/Starcraft. In this game you get to play one of four races, the Federation, the Klingons, the Romulans, and the Borg. Star Trek Armada takes place both after the Dominion war of DS9 and Insurrection for TNG.
